The Aria team collaborated with Levy’s Curiology Group and Walt Disney Imagineering to create a new concept story for this existing Italian restaurant. Our story of an Italian couple who migrated to Disney Springs molded the design for the restaurant. With construction costs in mind, our design strategy was to leave much of the existing layout intact and update the space by adding materials, lighting, furnishings, and artifacts. Brick arches, wood barn doors, a reclaimed shutter ceiling, and several ironwork screens add whimsy to the space.

To create a more welcoming entry experience, we relocated the host stand, added a fireplace with soft seating, and opened up the foyer to the restaurant with a new stone arch. The existing interior bar was trimmed back at one end where we added banquette seating with a window view to the pizza oven and kitchen. Reconfiguring the main dining areas allowed for maximum seating flexibility, and wine display for over 20 cases of wine was added to the back private dining room. A 350 SF stone clad conservatory with operable windows and a custom wagon wheel chandelier was added to the lake side of the restaurant. We activated the plaza side of the restaurant by adding a 14 seat bar with a covered pergola structure over 36 patio seats. This added structure provides cover from the rain, cooling fans in the summer and heat to ward off chill for maximum outdoor enjoyment day and night.
